An Invocation | Earth Magic Grimoire
INVOCATION OF EARTH MAGIC
Years ago I crafted a series of elemental invocations to support my personal circle casting practice. I’ve since shared these invocations with women from all over the world, in settings as exotic as retreats in Indonesia to Zoom calls from my studio in the Rocky Mountains. The magic is palpable every time.
Translation: Whenever you want to tap into the power of Earth Magic, I invite you to use my words as shared below, or to make them your own in whatever way feels magical to you.
You can refer back to this invocation anytime you need to call back your energy and feel grounded. You can speak it aloud as you set up your Winter Solstice altar. You can incorporate it into your next dark moon ritual. You can pick and choose the passages that feel right at different times. You can, of course, let it go if it doesn’t feel right to you. Trust yourself. You’ll know how and when to call on this magic.
I call in the earthly energies of the North into this wild, holy space.
May my grounded magic root deep into the Mother.
May the steadiness of wood, the strength of metal, and the timelessness of stone call my most elemental powers back to me.
May my ancestors remind my cells of the power of stillness.
May the quiet beauty of bones call forth the wisdom of my human elders and animal guides.
May the fertile void of winter empower my inner Priestess, the sacred self who presides over my many deaths and rebirths.
May the liminal energy of the dark moon plumb the deepest depths of my intuition.
I am grateful for the protection of this ancient earth magic.
