Payments For Custom Work
What are my payment options?
Please note: The following policies govern commissioned, custom work. If you need payment plans for pieces listed in my shop, I offer AfterPay at checkout.
The average final price of a custom is typically between $250 - $350. The final price accounts for the weight of Sterling Silver and other metals used, stone choices, design details, fabrication time, etc. The range provided is simply an average. The $75 custom design fee is in addition to the price of the jewelry itself and is not eligible for inclusion in payment plans.
Payment In Full:
Select this option if you are able to pay the total amount in full within three (3) days of receiving your price quote. You’ll jump straight to the top of my fabrication queue.
Payment Plans:
I’m happy to offer payment plans to make my work accessible to as many wild ones as possible. Please continue reading to learn how you can take advantage of this.
To account for invoicing and transaction processing fees, governed by the third-party PayPal platform, 5% will be added to the total price. The price quote I send to you will be the complete all-in cost and then invoices are determined using the scale below.
For orders up to $300, the invoice will split into two (2) payments.
For orders between $301 and $600, the invoice will split into three (3) payments.
For orders between $601 and $1,000, the invoice will split into four (4) payments.
You’re welcome to decide whether you want to make a payment every one, two, thee, or four weeks. Simply let me know what’s best for you when you receive your price quote and I’ll set up the invoices from there.
NOTE: Your jewelry ships after final payment is complete.
How do I begin making payments?
Just like with the custom order intake form and design fee, all custom order payments begin right here on the Altars of Metal & Stone website.
If you’re paying in full:
Your entire transaction begins and ends on this website. I’ll create a product in my shop reserved for you and send a direct link only to you. From there you simply add that product to your cart and proceed through checkout.
If you’re taking advantage of a payment plan:
Your order will begin on this website and then your payments will be made through PayPal invoices (discussed in detail in the next section).
I’ll create a product in my shop reserved for you and send a direct link only to you. The price of that product will be the full price of your custom order; but along with the link to your product, I’ll send a discount code that makes everything $0.00 at checkout. Then we move to PayPal (see below).
You have the opportunity to create an account on my site.
It’s optional, but super quick and simple. Having an account makes checkout a breeze and you can easily keep track of your order history, update your shipping addresses, find tracking numbers, etc.
How are my recurring payments managed?
Once you’ve “purchased” your custom product on my website, using the 100% discount code and paying $0.00, your payments are then managed with PayPal invoices.
You’ll be sent a separate invoice for each installment of your payment plan.
You’ll receive a reminder email three days before each installment is due, and again three days after it remains unpaid.
You may use any payment method stored in your PayPal account, or you can manually enter any credit/debit card of your choosing with or without a PayPal account. If you’d like to pay with Venmo, no problem. I will record a payment on my backend of the invoice and it will clear it out as paid.
