You Are Luminous.
A Reminder | A Rebirth | A Reclamation
The Luminous Collection is for wild ones seeking a reminder of who they truly are.
This collection is for wild ones ready to call in their rebirth.
This collection is for wild ones feeling the divine tension to both reclaim and recreate themselves.
This collection is for wild ones journeying somewhere between who you were, who you are, and who you’re becoming.
I didn’t realize it when I started, but as I created these pieces it became so clear that I was channeling the energy and lessons of South Asian goddess Akhilandeshwari.
Akhilandeshwari — known as “She Who Is Never Not Broken” — guides your transitions and transformations. She teaches you how to fall apart, to shatter, to crack wide open.
The magic comes when you find the luminous light of your essence in those cracks.
Akhilandeshwari is the ultimate wild one living in pure liminal space. She protects you as you navigate who you were, who you are, and who you’re becoming. In this way she embodies the sacred cycle of death, reclamation, and rebirth.
The Luminous Collection quickly became my teacher of this and so many lessons. This is my first time working with 14K gold and gold filled metals in general. Everything I know about fabricating a ring was called into question and every skill I have was challenged in some way. Completing these pieces for you required that I find joy in the process of creation, not in a perfect outcome.
And the rings aren’t perfect, wild one. I struggled with this for a long time and nearly scrapped the collection when I couldn’t seem to get out of my own way. So from a practical standpoint, know that these rings are discounted and priced accordingly.
From a metaphysical standpoint, know that each beautifully imperfect ring is an altar dedicated to your light, to the luminous essence in the cracks of who you are becoming. Akhilandeshwari was not interested in perfection, you see, she wanted process. She wanted meditations on joy and light as I allowed the “cracks” to shine. That’s her gift and that’s the power these altars hold.
I truly hope you find a piece that calls to you and supports your own journey of becoming.
Stay wild,
gail
